Position: Shoulder AP Internal Rotation
The AP internal rotation shoulder projection demonstrates the lesser tubercle in profile. The arm is rotated medially with the back of the hand against the thigh. This projection evaluates fractures, dislocations, and degenerative changes. It complements the external rotation view for full humeral head assessment. It is a standard ARRT competency for shoulder imaging.
