Position: Pediatric Soft Tissue Neck Lateral
The lateral soft tissue neck projection demonstrates the airway in profile. It evaluates epiglottitis, croup, and foreign bodies. A horizontal beam is essential for air fluid levels. Proper immobilization prevents motion. It is frequently tested on ARRT exams.
