Position: Pediatric Chest AP Supine
The pediatric AP supine chest projection is used for infants and toddlers who cannot stand. A horizontal beam ensures accurate demonstration of air fluid levels. Proper centering at the nipple line includes both lungs and mediastinum. Immobilization devices reduce motion blur. This projection is a core ARRT pediatric competency.
