Position: Trauma Velpeau Shoulder

The Velpeau projection is used when the patient cannot abduct the arm. The patient leans backward while the beam is angled inferiorly. This projection demonstrates the humeral head and glenoid. It is essential for trauma imaging. It is a recognized ARRT special projection.
