Position: Trauma Lateral Femur

The trauma lateral femur projection demonstrates the femur in profile using a horizontal beam. It evaluates fractures and soft tissue injuries. Proper positioning prevents rotation. This projection complements AP views. It is a recognized ARRT competency.
