Position: Mandible Towne

The Towne mandible projection demonstrates the mandibular condyles and rami. The beam is angled caudally to project the condyles below the skull base. This projection evaluates fractures and TMJ pathology. Proper positioning prevents elongation. It is frequently tested on ARRT exams.
