Position: Lateral Thorax Soft Tissue

The lateral thorax soft tissue projection demonstrates the airway and mediastinum in profile. It evaluates masses and airway narrowing. Proper positioning prevents rotation. This projection complements AP soft tissue. It is a standard ARRT requirement.
