Position: Lateral Chest Neonatal

The neonatal lateral chest projection demonstrates the lungs and mediastinum in profile. It evaluates airway narrowing and posterior pathology. Proper positioning prevents rotation. This projection complements AP neonatal chest. It is recognized on ARRT exams.
