Position: Axial Calcaneus

The axial calcaneus projection demonstrates the calcaneus and subtalar joint. Proper dorsiflexion is essential. This projection evaluates fractures and heel spurs. It complements lateral calcaneus views. It is frequently tested on ARRT exams.
