Position: Arthrogram Axial

The axial arthrogram projection demonstrates joint surfaces in cross section. It evaluates cartilage defects and internal derangements. Proper positioning prevents distortion. This projection complements AP and oblique views. It is frequently used in orthopedic imaging.
