Position: AP Soft Tissue Neck

The AP soft tissue neck projection evaluates the airway, larynx, and upper trachea. It is used for suspected foreign bodies, swelling, or airway narrowing. Proper centering at C4 ensures visualization of the laryngeal structures. A slow breathing technique may improve soft tissue contrast. This projection is a core ARRT competency for airway imaging.
