AP Shoulder Neutral Trauma

Position: AP Shoulder Neutral Trauma

The AP neutral trauma shoulder projection is used when rotation of the arm is unsafe. It demonstrates the humeral head in a neutral position without stressing the joint. Proper centering ensures visualization of the glenoid and proximal humerus. This projection complements Y and transthoracic trauma views. It is frequently used in emergency imaging.
