Position: Calcaneus Lateral
The lateral calcaneus projection demonstrates the calcaneus in profile. It evaluates fractures, joint alignment, and soft tissue abnormalities. Proper positioning ensures the talus and calcaneus are visualized clearly. This projection complements the axial view. It is a standard ARRT competency.
