Foot Oblique

Position: Foot Oblique

The oblique foot projection rotates the foot 30 to 45 degrees to demonstrate the metatarsals without superimposition. This view highlights the cuboid, sinus tarsi, and lateral structures. It is essential for evaluating fractures, arthritis, and joint alignment. Proper rotation prevents distortion of the metatarsal heads. It is a standard ARRT competency for lower extremity imaging.
