The AP hysterosalpingogram demonstrates the uterus and fallopian tubes after contrast injection. It evaluates infertility, tubal patency, and uterine anomalies. Proper timing captures contrast spill into the peritoneum. This projection is essential for gynecologic fluoroscopy. It is a core ARRT competency.
