Position: Trauma AP Ankle
The trauma AP ankle projection evaluates fractures and joint alignment. It is performed without moving the foot. Proper centering ensures visualization of the distal tibia and talus. This projection complements mortise and lateral trauma views. It is frequently tested on ARRT exams.
