Position: Trauma Axillary Shoulder
The trauma axillary projection demonstrates the humeral head and glenoid relationship. It is performed only if the patient can tolerate minimal abduction. Proper beam alignment prevents distortion. This projection evaluates dislocations. It is a recognized ARRT competency.
