Position: Pediatric Hand Lateral

The pediatric lateral hand projection demonstrates the phalanges and metacarpals in profile. It evaluates fractures and soft tissue swelling. Proper positioning prevents superimposition. This projection complements PA and oblique views. It is frequently tested on ARRT exams.
