Position: Lateral Lumbar Spine

The lateral lumbar spine projection demonstrates vertebral alignment and intervertebral foramina. It evaluates spondylolisthesis and disk narrowing. Proper positioning prevents rotation. This projection complements AP views. It is frequently tested on ARRT exams.
