Position: Axiolateral Mandible
The axiolateral mandible projection demonstrates the ramus, body, or mentum depending on rotation. It evaluates fractures and TMJ alignment. Proper angulation prevents superimposition. This projection complements AP and PA mandible. It is frequently tested on ARRT exams.
