Position: Lateral Sacrum Trauma

The trauma lateral sacrum projection demonstrates the sacrum in profile using a horizontal beam. It evaluates fractures and soft tissue swelling. Proper positioning prevents rotation. This projection complements AP trauma sacrum. It is recognized on ARRT exams.
